My Intelligence....

Your Dominant Intelligence is Linguistic Intelligence

You are excellent with words and language. You explain yourself well.
An elegant speaker, you can converse well with anyone on the fly.
You are also good at remembering information and convicing someone of your point of view.
A master of creative phrasing and unique words, you enjoy expanding your vocabulary.

You would make a fantastic poet, journalist, writer, teacher, lawyer, politician, or translator.
Well, I guess law school wasn't that huge of a mistake afterall....LOL.

For Jenner...

Ok, I was going to try and make this a prettier post but just not gonna work. Basically...I was searching youtube for some good footage of something that I thought was HILARIOUS! Actually, Prico sent it to me and told me to watch but when I watched, I immediately thought of Jenner. So...it's this cartoon called Happy Tree Friends. It's so so cute but oh so wrong. They are all cutsie and then they die a horrible death. Here is the link to a whole bunch of episodes. Enjoy:

It probably makes me so sick and twisted that these crack me up but I dont care.
Thanks Prico

I suck....

I know I know...I've been bad at posting. I have a few things in the the works but I've been lazy with this. I will post some more though. I promise. I had a busy few days. I had birthdays to celebrate and things to do. My one piece of advice of the week....eating Mexican food 3 nights in a row....not such a good idea. Just thought I'd share that. I also don't want you all to think that I forgot all about baseball...I didn't. I will continue to educate the masses about the Yankees and baseball in general. I think that's about it. This is just going to turn into incessant rambling but oh well. My friend annoyed me this weekend because I went out and I ordered water at a bar. He actually had a fight with me in front of the waitress because I wouldn't order alcohol. Well, I didn't want alcohol. I didn't think it was that big a deal. I can have a good time without drinking. Geesh. Ok, I'm done ranting. I'll go back to some reading and relaxing. Afterall, it is Sunday. Hope everyone had a good weekend. :)

Get Crafty...

I like crafty things but I don't really do them often. I saw a fun craft project on Martha today. Yeah....I was being lazy and watched Martha. Whatever....I was up till 4am doing things and my ass was woken up by construction outside at 8am so I was tired. Anyway...the craft was fun tshirts. You basically take a tshirt and a stencil and you bleach where the stencil is and it eats away at the shirt and looks cool. Here's the info...Martha explains better than I do...but I may actually do this.

I went to the movies...

I saw The Departed Saturday night and I highly reccommend it. I never really had a thing for Leo but now I do. I want a piece. Still got nothin when it comes to Matt Damon but he was also fantastic. I really don't have a complaint about the movie. It was just that good. I HATE Alex Baldwin but he was also fantastic and I have to give him kudos for that as much as it pains me. If others have seen it...let me know what you thought...

In Memoriam

Cory Lidel March 22, 1972 - October 11, 2006

Well you all know by now that Cory Lidle perished in a plane crash this afternoon when his plane crashed into a highrise on the Upper East Side. It is a sad sad thing. Not just because he was a Yankee but because this is a tragedy. Lidle played for several teams in his career: New York Mets (1997), Tampa Bay Devil Rays (1999-2000), Oakland Athletics (2001-02), Toronto Blue Jays (2003), Cincinnati Reds (2004), Philadelphia Phillies (2004-2006), and New York Yankees (2006-present). It is a somber day for the Lidle family and NY baseball. If you are interested, below are some of Lidle's stats. Otherwise, I just wanted to give him a little tribute.

The post really has no name because it's a bunch of crap!

Ok, well....first off...I'm still sore from the walk but it was great. I met a ton of great people and in total I did about 21 miles over the 2 days. Next year, I'll do all 40...or I'll really try. Ok, now on to baseball....I know the Yanks are out but I still love my boys in pinstripes. I am NOT a fair weather fan so I will continue to post about the Yankees and edumacate those of you who don't know about this wonderful team. Of course I'll throw a few other things in to the mix as well.

First I'll say this....Joe Torre will be around for another season, at least. That's good because I like him. Here's some Joe for ya:

That's all I'm gonna post about the Yanks for the moment. Just a bit about the Mets....um...we'll see how far they get. I'd like to see them Go all the way as I really like Willy Randolph. He is their current manager but he used to be the 3rd base coach for the Yanks and he's a good guy.

Well, I think that's about it for now. I'm a little brain dead. The walk did me in mentally and physically so, I'm just coming back to being myself. So, for now....you'll have to live with this post. I'll be back though. I promise!

I'm so brain dead I forgot to include some pics from the walk. I did not take them though, my friend Courtney did. So, kudos to Courtney. I took a few pics but I have to download them...which may take a few. I did take Courtney's pics and make a Picasa collage though, let's see if I can figure out how to get it on here! Ok well, the collage it at the top...I couldnt get it at the bottom so I give up. This is as good at it gets at the moment.

Avon Walk for Breast Cancer

Well, as many of you know, I am walking in the Breast Cancer walk this weekend. I have to be at the South Street Seaport between 5:30 and 6am tomorrow. For those of you who know me know this is not easy for me as I am NOT a morning person. Good thing there will be coffee. I will need caffine. A LOT of caffine. I was able to raise over $2000 for this event and I thank everyone who was generous enough to donate. I think it's a really great cause and I think the Avon Foundation does a lot of great stuff. Here is the link to the Avon walk and then the next link will be my personal page for the walk.

I hope you enjoy both links and find them infomative and in the meantime.....

THINK PINK!!!!!

Also, since I'll be busy with all this walking, don't think you'll be getting new posts from me. Sorry.

Oh and another thing....game 3 of the playoffs on ESPN at 8 tonight....GO YANKEES!

Busy Busy Busy....

Sorry I disappeared. I was really busy yesterday. I wasn't around. Anyway...on the Yankee front, they lost yesterday and I dont wanna talk about it. We'll see what happens tonight. Today I have to go register for the Avon Breast Cancer walk which I'm participating in this weekend. I have to go do that but I will post later all about the walk and about Avon. So, have a good day everyone!

Bucky Dent..the beginning of an obsession.

You are now looking at Bucky Dent...he played for the Yankees in the late 70s and early 80s. He is famous for a home run he hit during the playoffs against the Red Sox and that lead to their demise (but that happened a lot). Well, he was my neighbor when I was growing up and he used to give me candy and gum. Of course this is the way to a little girls heart. It was then that I became a Yankee fan. He used to tell me to watch him play and he said he'd hit home runs for me. He was a good guy and a bit of a playboy. If you want to read more about him, here is some info:

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bucky_Dent

As you may have guessed, this is the beginning of many Yankee posts. I have a nice bit of info and some nice pics. So, I hope this is fun for others as it is for me. So, enjoy some Bucky Dent and soon it will be time for game 2 of the playoffs. Moose (Mike Mussina will be pitching for the Bronx Bombers tonight. As for the Tigers pitcher...don't know yet and to be honest, don't much care. I'll try to give some updates. I'm also gonna add some other things in. I don't want this to turn into a Yankee haven...not that there's anything wrong with that.

I FUCKING KNEW IT!!

I knew Zach had a thing for Slater. It was SO obvious. I don't know why they tried to hide it for so long....

Thanks Doug!!

I just don't know what I'd do without you and your knowledge of computers so...here's a BIG THANK YOU! I know that it's because of you that I now have haloscan because the damned codes confused the fuck outta me. I know that you had to endure staring at my Yankee post which is a lot for you so here's a present for you.

Yep...the 86 Mets...the last time they actually WON a world series. :) Yup....a whole 20 years ago...that would be 2 decades. You know I love you.

For those who don't know the origin of the blog's name....or well even if you don't...this is for your viewing pleasure....

The Playoffs have begun...

Right now the Yankees are Playing the Detroit Tigers...who's winning? Do you have to ask...of course the Yanks are ahead...at the moment. I know, these things change. Well, for right now I am happy about this. Very happy. So, lets hear it for the Yanks! GOOOOOO YANKEES! Ok, I will stop now.
UPDATE - Yup....Yanks still winning. I'm a happy happy gal!
UPDATE 2 - El Capitan (that's Jeter to you guys) just went 5 for 5 and hit a home run. Now the Yanks are winning 8-4 in the bottom of the 8th. Oh happy day.

My first problem!

I'm sure I'll have WAY more problems but at the moment this is my issue....

HALOSCAN IS A BITCH! I can't even get onto the site to add it. So, this is it for now. Ok...NOW I'm off to learn things. Bear with me as I'm slow.

Welcome

I would like to first just say welcome. This is my own little piece of the internet where I can play and do whatever I want. As anyone who knows me well knows that I am a computer moron and I know that there are a lot of codes to be had here and other things that I think are evil. So, we shall see how this goes. But for now...I am just going to say hi and welcome. Please leave your shoes at the door and get comfy. I will always have good food and drinks for all. I like to be a good host. Now I'm going to try to learn how to work this thing.
